The Minister must prepare an annual report on the State's greenhouse gas emissions that—

sets out an overview and collation of the best practicably available information about the State's greenhouse gas emissions; and

sets out the extent to which the amount of the State's greenhouse gas emissions has been reduced in relation to the amount of the State's greenhouse gas emissions for the year 2005 determined under section 11(2); and

includes any other information about the State's greenhouse gas emissions that the Minister considers appropriate.

For the purposes of subsection (1)(b), the method for calculating any reduction in the amount of the State's greenhouse gas emissions is the method set out in section 53.

The Minister must prepare a report under subsection (1) on or before 31 October 2018 and on or before 31 October every following year.

The Minister must cause a copy of a report under subsection (1) to be laid before each House of the Parliament within 10 sitting days of that House after the completion of the report.

The Minister must publish a report under subsection (1) on the Internet site of the Department as soon as practicable after the report is laid before each House of the Parliament under subsection (4).
