144 Sawmills
For the purposes of section 49 of the Act—
(a)
the disposal by burning of sawdust, bark edgings, wood or other flammable material must take place in a pit or burner—
(i)
approved in writing by the Chief Officer; and
(ii)
operated and maintained in compliance with the conditions specified in the Chief Officer's written approval; and
(b)
at any time a fire is burning in the pit or burner—
(i)
the minimum number of adults specified in the Chief Officer's written approval must be present; and
(ii)
the amount and type of fire suppression equipment specified in the Chief Officer's written approval must be available.
