122 Credit hawking
Subject to subsection (2), a credit provider shall not canvass, or employ a person for the purpose of canvassing, at the place of residence or business of another person with a view to inducing that other person to apply for or obtain credit under a regulated contract.

Subsection (1) does not apply to or in relation to an invitation by or on behalf of a credit provider in respect of the provision of credit for or in connexion with—
the purchase of goods of a particular kind by a supplier who deals in goods of that kind; or
the purchase of goods or services from a supplier where the invitation and supply are made by the same person.
Where a debtor suffers loss by reason of entering into a regulated contract initiated by a person in contravention of subsection (1), the credit provider is liable to the debtor for the amount of that loss.
Subsection (3)—
does not affect the liability of a person to be convicted of an offence against this section; and
is in addition to all other rights of a debtor exercisable against the credit provider in relation to the contract (whether under this Act or any other Act or law).
