124ZR Police officer may direct person to cease public display of insignia
A police officer may give an individual who is 18 years old or older, or a body corporate, a direction under this section if the police officer reasonably believes that the individual or body corporate is committing an offence against section 124ZN by publicly displaying a mark.
A direction under this section requires the person to whom it is given to cease the public display of the mark.
A police officer who gives a direction under this section must specify in the direction a reasonable time within which the public display must cease.
A police officer who gives a direction under this section may do so orally or in writing.
A police officer who gives a direction under this section in writing must identify in the direction the person to whom the direction is given.
A direction purportedly given under this section to an individual who is under 18 years old is of no effect.
