230 Minimum distance from the ground for substations

The minimum distance from the ground for any part of the supporting platform and equipment (except conductors) for a pole-mounted substation that is mounted on or attached to a pole or the crossarms of a pole is—

(a)

if the substation is more than 500 millimetres from the vertical projection of the kerb line (in the direction away from a vehicular carriageway) and that substation is more than 200 millimetres from the surface of the pole, no less than 3600 millimetres from the ground; and

(b)

if the substation is more than 500 millimetres from the vertical projection of the kerb line (in the direction away from a vehicular carriageway) and that substation is 200 millimetres or less from the surface of the pole, no less than 2400 millimetres from the ground; and

(c)

in any other circumstances, no less than 4600 millimetres from the ground.
