511 How electrical installation work is to be carried out on energised electrical equipment
A person conducting a business or undertaking that is carrying out electrical installation work on energised electrical equipment must ensure that the electrical installation work is carried out—
by a competent person who has tools, testing equipment and personal protective equipment that—
are suitable for the work; and
have been properly tested; and
are maintained in good working order; and
in accordance with a safe work method statement prepared for the work.
Penalty: 20 penalty units.
A person conducting a business or undertaking that is carrying out electrical installation work on energised electrical equipment must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the person who carries out the electrical installation work uses the tools, testing equipment and personal protective equipment properly.
Penalty: 20 penalty units.

For the purposes of subregulation (1)(b), the safe work method statement must—
identify the electrical installation work; and
specify the hazards associated with the electrical installation work and the risks associated with those hazards; and
describe the measures to be implemented to control the risks; and
describe how the measures referred to in paragraph (c) are to be implemented.
