The Chief Executive, Emergency Management Victoria is to be employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004.

The Chief Executive, Emergency Management Victoria is responsible to the Secretary for the Department of Justice and Community Safety for—
the general management and conduct of the activities of Emergency Management Victoria; and
the effective, efficient and economical performance and exercise by Emergency Management Victoria of its functions and powers.
