29 Appointment
(1)
The Minister may appoint a person to be the Public Sector Gender Equality Commissioner.
(2)
The Minister must not appoint a person as the Commissioner if the person is—
(a)
a member of the Parliament of Victoria or of the Commonwealth or of another State or a Territory; or
S. 29(2)(b) substituted by No. 20/2022 s. 62.
(b)
a Councillor.
(3)
A person may hold office as the Commissioner for not more than 9 years (whether appointed for consecutive terms or otherwise).
