18 Director of Nursing must be appointed
(1)
The proprietor of a health service establishment that provides one or more of its health services at the premises for which it is registered must appoint a suitably qualified person as the Director of Nursing.
Penalty: 50 penalty units.
(2)
For the purposes of subregulation (1), a person is suitably qualified if the person—
(a)
is a registered nurse; and
(b)
has at least 12 months' practical experience in nursing management; and
(c)
has at least 5 years' clinical experience as a registered nurse.
