31 Respect, dignity and privacy
The proprietor of a health service establishment must ensure that a patient—
(a)
is treated with dignity and respect, and with due regard to their gender identity, religious beliefs and ethnic and cultural practices; and
(b)
is given privacy; and
(c)
is not subjected to unusual routines, particularly with respect to the timing of meals and hygiene procedures, unless the routines are for the benefit of the patient.
