The Executive Director may request an owner to provide any additional information that the Executive Director considers necessary to determine if the proposed works or activities are for the purposes of religious services or rites.

A request under subsection (1) must be made in writing and include the following information—

a description of the information to be provided;

the date by which the information must be provided, being a date which is at least 30 days after the request;

a statement that the notice given under section 90(3) will cease to have effect if the information is not provided by that date.

The owner may request the Executive Director to grant an extension of time to provide the requested information.

The Executive Director must—

agree or refuse to agree to a request under subsection (3); and

give written notice to the owner of the Executive Director's decision.

A notice under subsection (4)(b) must state—

whether the extension of time is agreed to or refused; and

if the extension of time is agreed to, the date by which the information must be provided; and

if the extension of time is refused and the date specified in accordance with subsection (2)(b) has passed or is due to pass within 10 business days, the date by which the information must be provided, being a date which is at least 10 business days after the notice.

The Executive Director must notify the owner within 5 business days after agreeing or refusing to agree to the extension.

The period within which the Executive Director must give notice under section 90(6) stops to run on the day when the Executive Director requests additional information under this section and starts to run when that information is provided to the Executive Director.
