18 Regulations
The Governor in Council may make regulations for or with respect to the following matters—
the control, management and use of heritage river areas and natural catchment areas;
management plans;
generally prescribing any other matter or thing required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed or necessary to be prescribed to give effect to this Act.
The regulations—
may be of general or limited application; and
may differ according to differences in time, place or circumstances; and
may leave any matter to be approved or determined by the Minister; and
may impose penalties not exceeding 5 penalty units for a contravention of the regulations.

Regulations made under this section may be disallowed in whole or in part by resolution of either House of the Parliament in accordance with the requirements of section 23 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

Disallowance under subsection (3) is deemed to be disallowance by the Parliament for the purposes of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.
