Qualifications and eligibility

In force

(1)

The Minister must not recommend a person to be appointed as an appointed director unless the Minister is satisfied that—

(a)

the person is not employed by a public entity or public service body; and

(b)

the person has appropriate knowledge or experience in relation to one or more of the following—

(i)

policy and strategy; or

(ii)

infrastructure planning; or

(iii)

infrastructure funding; or

(iv)

infrastructure delivery.

(2)

When making a recommendation under section 13(1), the Minister must have regard, as far as is practicable, to the need for the appointed directors collectively to have appropriate knowledge or experience gained in the private sector, within Australia or internationally.
