Infringements Act 2006

An offence under a prescribed provision specified in regulation 1203 of the Magistrates' Court General Regulations 2000 as in force immediately before the commencement of section 176(2), on and from that commencement—

is deemed to be a lodgeable infringement offence as if it had been prescribed as a lodgeable infringement offence by regulations made under this Act;

may be dealt with as a lodgeable infringement offence under this Act.

Nothing in this section prevents regulations made under this Act from amending or revoking any thing deemed to have been prescribed as a lodgeable infringement offence under subsection (1).
