Electronic counting systems

In force

An electronic counting system used to count votes under section 263(2) of the Act must—

(a)

comply with the counting procedures set out in Division 6, 7 or 8 of Part 8 of the Act; and

(b)

comply with the rules under section 269 of the Act for determining the validity of a marked ballot-paper; and

(c)

enable the electronic record of the preferences from any ballot-paper to be verified by comparison to the ballot-paper after being recorded.
