18E Identity cards for site inspections
If the Commissioner delegates any power to enter or inspect a place or premises under an inspection notice to a person, the Commissioner must issue an identity card to that person.
An identity card issued under subsection (1) must—
contain the name of the person to whom it is issued; and
contain a photograph of the person; and
state that the person is acting as the delegate of the Commissioner in relation to the entry and inspection of the place or premises.
The person to whom an identity card is issued must—
carry the identity card at all times while exercising the power delegated to the person; and
produce the identity card for inspection—
immediately before exercising a power of entry delegated to the person; and
if asked to do so while exercising any power delegated to the person.
If it is not practicable to comply with subsection (3)(b)(i) before exercising the power, the person must produce the identity card for inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
