Part 6Costs of Australian lawyer

63.58 Application

This Part applies—

(a)

if costs are payable to an Australian lawyer by the Australian lawyer's client in respect of a proceeding in the Court, and by or under any Act or these Rules or any order of the Court or any agreement between the Australian lawyer and the client the costs are required or permitted to be taxed in the Court;

(b)

if any person not the client of an Australian lawyer is liable to pay or, having been so liable, has paid costs which are or were chargeable by the Australian lawyer to the client, in respect of a proceeding in the Court, and by or under any Act or these Rules or any order of the Court or any agreement between that person and the client the costs are required or permitted to be taxed in the Court.
