The long title for the Bill for this Act was "A Bill to revoke the permanent reservations over certain land at North Melbourne, to repeal Act No. 973 and for other purposes."
The North Melbourne Lands Act 1996 was assented to on 26 November 1996 and came into operation on 26 November 1996.
