152 Powers of advisory committee
This section applies if an advisory committee conducts a hearing into a matter.
The following sections (with any necessary changes) apply to the advisory committee as if it were a panel appointed under Part 8—
section 159; and
S. 152(2)(ab) inserted by No. 6/2025 s. 153(1)(a).
section 160A; and
S. 152(2)(b) amended by No. 6/2025 s. 153(1)(b).
section 161(1), (3), (5) and (6); and
section 161(2) as if the reference to a planning authority were omitted; and
sections 162 to 165 and 169.

Sections 158C and 158D (with any necessary changes) apply to the advisory committee as if—
the advisory committee were a panel appointed under Part 8; and
the references to submissions referred to a panel were a reference to—
submissions referred to the advisory committee by the Minister in relation to the matter; or
submissions received by the advisory committee in relation to the matter; and
the references to submissions were a reference to—
submissions referred to the advisory committee by the Minister in relation to the matter; or
submissions received by the advisory committee in relation to the matter.

Section 159A (with any necessary changes) applies to the advisory committee as if—
the advisory committee were a panel appointed under Part 8; and
the words "specified in section 24" were omitted; and
the references to a submission were a reference to—
a submission referred to the advisory committee by the Minister in relation to the matter; or
a submission received by the advisory committee in relation to the matter; and
the reference in subsection (2)(b) to the amendment were a reference to the matter.
