201SE Time of occurrence of GAIC event
For the purposes of this Part, a GAIC event occurs—

in the case of a plan of subdivision of land—
if the plan of subdivision is a non‑SOC plan of subdivision, the day on which the plan of subdivision is certified; or
in any other case, when the statement of compliance relating to the plan of subdivision is issued;
in the case of an application for a building permit, when the application is made;
in the case of a dutiable transaction relating to land other than a significant acquisition, at the time at which the transaction would be taken to have occurred under Chapter 2 of the Duties Act 2000;
in the case of a significant acquisition—
if the acquisition occurs on a particular day, on that day; or
if the acquisition occurs over a period of time, on the last day of that period.
