46AR Procedure for ratification of revocation order
The Minister must cause a revocation order to be laid before each House of Parliament within 7 sitting days of that House after the publication of the order.
A revocation order does not take effect unless it is ratified by a resolution passed by each House of Parliament within 10 sitting days after the revocation order is laid before that House.
The Minister must publish a notice of the ratification of a revocation order in the Government Gazette.
A revocation order that has been ratified under this section comes into effect—
when the notice of ratification is published in the Government Gazette; or
on any later day specified in the notice of ratification.
