8 Functions of the Rural Assistance Commissioner
The Rural Assistance Commissioner has the following functions under this Act—
(a)
to administer and facilitate rural assistance schemes;
(b)
to bring together and coordinate financial resources for investment in rural and regional industries;
(c)
to provide services and advice to government with regard to rural and regional industries and affairs.
