21 Appointment of directors
The chairperson, deputy chairperson and any other director of the Authority must be appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister.
A director is appointed for a term not exceeding 4 years specified in the instrument of appointment.
A director is appointed on the terms and conditions that are specified in the instrument of appointment.
A director is eligible to be reappointed.
A director must not serve for more than 8 years without the approval of the Premier.
In the case of an acting director who is appointed as a director, the maximum period of appointment under subsection (5) is to be determined by taking into account any period that the person was appointed as acting director within the 24-month period immediately before that person was appointed director.
The Public Administration Act 2004 (other than Part 3 of that Act) applies to a director of the Authority in respect of the office of director.
