45 Regulator may appoint WELS inspectors
(1)
The Regulator may, by writing, appoint any of the following as a WELS inspector—
(a)
an officer or employee of an agency of the State;
(b)
an officer or employee of an agency of the Commonwealth.
(2)
However, the Regulator must not appoint an officer or employee of an agency of the State as a WELS inspector without the agreement of the State.
(3)
In exercising his or her powers or performing his or her functions a WELS inspector must comply with any direction of the Regulator.
