Worker Screening Act 2020

The Regulator or an employee within the meaning of the Public Administration Act 2004 is not personally liable for anything done or omitted to be done in good faith—

in the exercise of a power or the performance of a function under this Act or the regulations; or

in the reasonable belief that the act or omission was in the exercise of a power or the performance of a function under this Act or the regulations.

Any liability resulting from an act or omission that, but for subsection (1), would attach to the Regulator or an employee within the meaning of the Public Administration Act 2004 attaches instead to the State.
