Reduction of order by payment of portion of fine

(1)

This section applies if—

(a)

a community service order has been made under section 257(2)(f) in respect of a child; and

(b)

before the expiry of the term of the order, it appears to the Children's Court that part of the fine has been paid.

(2)

The total hours of community service activities to be performed by the child under the order must be reduced by the number of hours bearing as nearly as possible the same proportion to the total number of hours specified in the order as the amount paid bears to the whole amount of the fine.
