131 Duty to notify CEO of change in ownership or occupation
While a biodiversity conservation covenant remains registered under section 127(3), an owner of the land to which the covenant relates must give written notice to the CEO in accordance with subsection (2) if —
that person ceases to be an owner of the land; or
that person or another person ceases to be an occupier of the land.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $20 000.
The notice must —
give details of the change in ownership or occupation of the land, including the name and address of the next owner or occupier of the land (if known); and
be given to the CEO within 60 days after the day on which the change in ownership or occupation of the land occurs.
