269 Time when document given
Except where a document is sent by post to an address outside the State, given personally, or the contrary is proved, a document is taken to be given on the business day following the day on which the document was sent by post, faxed or emailed to, or left for, the person to whom it was addressed.
A document sent by post to an address within Australia but outside the State is taken to be given on the 5th business day after the day on which the document was sent to the person to whom it is addressed.
A document sent by post to an address outside Australia is taken to be given on the 10th business day after the day on which the document was sent to the person to whom it is addressed.
