164 Identification cards
The Director General must issue an identification card containing the prescribed details to each inspector appointed under section 162.
An inspector must —
carry his or her identification card while performing functions under this Act; and
if it is practicable to do so, produce it before exercising a power of an inspector under this Act.
If the holder of an identification card issued under subsection (1) stops being an inspector, the person must return the card to the Director General as soon as is practicable.
A person who contravenes subsection (3) without reasonable excuse, the onus of proving which is on the person, commits an offence.
Penalty: a fine of $400.
