6 Authority may restrict access
The Authority may by the erection or establishment of signs —
close the designated land or part of the designated land; or
close a road, track or path on the designated land,
to pedestrians or vehicles or both for such period as the Authority thinks fit.
The powers in subregulation (1) may only be exercised for the purpose mentioned in section 53(2)(c).
The Authority must erect and maintain sufficient signs on or in the vicinity of the designated land, a part of the designated land, or a road, track or path, that is closed under this regulation to indicate that entry to that designated land, part of the designated land, road, track or path, as the case requires is prohibited without permission.
The inscription on a sign erected or established under this regulation operates according to its tenor.
A person must not, without permission —
enter the designated land or any part of the designated land that is for the time being closed under this regulation; or
use a road, track or path that is for the time being closed under this regulation.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of $1 000.
