104 Regulations
The Governor may make regulations prescribing all matters that are required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed, or are necessary or convenient to be prescribed, for giving effect to this Act.
Without limiting subsection (1) regulations may be made for all or any of the following purposes —
regulating the meetings and proceedings of, and the conduct of business by, the Board;
providing for registration, including applications for, and the amendment or renewal of, registration;
maintaining the accuracy of the register;
regulating the issue, display and use of certificates of registration;
regulating the display on land of signs indicating that a building service is being carried out by a building service contractor on the land;
regulating the display on land of signs indicating that building work is being carried out by an owner‑builder on the land;
prescribing returns and notices that are to be given to the Board, and the manner in which they are to be given;
providing that information supplied to the Board may be required to be verified by statutory declaration.
The regulations may provide that contravention of a regulation is an offence, and provide, for an offence against the regulations, a penalty not exceeding a fine of $5 000.
