484 Service on member of co‑operative
A notice required under this Act to be given to a member of a co‑operative must be in writing.
A notice or other document required under this Act to be given to a member of a co‑operative may be given —
personally; or
by leaving it with a person who appears to be 16 years of age or more at the member’s address; or
by post; or
by faxing it or emailing it to a fax number or email address provided by the person; or
by sending it to the member by other electronic means (if any) nominated by the member; or
by publishing the notice in a newspaper circulating generally in this State or in the area served by the co‑operative, if —
the co‑operative is a non‑distributing co‑operative; or
the member’s whereabouts are unknown to the co‑operative; or
the Registrar permits notice to be given to members of the co‑operative in that way.
Subsection (2) does not apply in relation to reports provided to members under section 244V.
