489 Regulation making power

(1)

The Governor may make regulations prescribing all matters that are required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed or are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for giving effect to the purposes of this Act.

(2)

Without limiting subsection (1), regulations may be made for or in relation to the following —

(a)

the making of applications for the exercise of a function by the Registrar;

(b)

the way documents are lodged with the Registrar, including electronic lodgment and lodgment by facsimile;

(c)

fees to be paid in relation to the administration of this Act including —

(i)

fees for lodgment of any documents under this Act; and

(ii)

additional fees for late lodgment of any documents under this Act.

(3)

A regulation may create an offence punishable by a penalty of a fine not exceeding $2 000.
