8 Constitution of the Board
For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act, there shall be a board to be called The Coal Miners’ Welfare Board of Western Australia constituted as hereinafter provided.
The Board shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and shall be capable in law of suing and being sued and of acquiring, purchasing, holding, exchanging, leasing, selling and disposing of real and personal property of every kind and description and of doing such other acts, matters and things within the provisions of this Act as other corporate bodies may lawfully do.
No Member shall be personally liable for any act of the Board, but the Board alone shall be liable.
