Court orders as to entries in register
106 Court orders as to entries in register
A judge of the Supreme Court may order the Registrar to make an entry in a register under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1998 in relation to the acquisition of an assumed identity under an assumed identity approval.
The judge may make the order —
on application of the Commission; and
if satisfied the order is justified having regard to the nature of the activities to be undertaken by the officer of the Commission under the assumed identity approval.
The Registrar must give effect to the order —
within the period stated in the order; or
if no period is stated in the order — within 28 days after the day on which the order is made.
