30 Conflict of interest
(1)
A member must inform the Minister in writing of —
(a)
any direct or indirect interest that the member has or acquires in any business, or in any body corporate carrying on business, in Australia or elsewhere; or
(b)
any other direct or indirect interest that the member has or acquires that conflicts or may conflict with the member’s duties.
Penalty: $10 000.
(2)
The Minister may —
(a)
direct the member to resolve a conflict between a direct or indirect interest and a duty of the member in relation to a particular matter; and
(b)
if the conflict is not resolved to the Minister’s satisfaction, disqualify the member from acting in relation to the matter.
