14 Regulatory Authority may seek further information
For the purpose of carrying out an assessment as to whether a person is a fit and proper person, the Regulatory Authority may —
ask the person to provide further information, including for the purposes of assessing the person’s knowledge of the National Quality Framework; and
undertake inquiries in relation to the person; and
by written notification, require the person to undergo an oral or written assessment of the person’s knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
If the Regulatory Authority asks the applicant for further information under this section, the period from the making of the request until the provision of the further information is not included in the period referred to in section 15 for the Regulatory Authority to make a decision on the application.
If the Regulatory Authority requires the applicant to undergo an assessment under this section, the period from the giving of the notification until the conduct of the assessment is not included in the period referred to in section 15 for the Regulatory Authority to make a decision on the application.
