18 Applications
An application for the grant or renewal of a licence shall be made in the prescribed manner to the Commissioner, and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee.
On the application for the grant of a licence, but not in respect of a renewal, the full names and business or residential address of 2 persons resident in the State willing to act as character referees for the proposed licensee shall be stated on the application.
The Commissioner of Police is authorised to disclose to the Minister, on the request of the Commissioner, any record or information relevant to an application under this Act.

An application for the transfer of a licence shall be endorsed to show clearly the particulars of the licence to which it relates, but in all other respects shall be dealt with as though it were an application for the grant of a licence.
