6 Mediation by IR Commission
(1)
The IR Commission may act as mediator in an employment dispute, whether or not it is within the jurisdiction of the IR Commission under the IR Act, on a request in accordance with section 7.
(2)
The IR Commission must not act as mediator unless the IR Commission is satisfied that each of the parties involved in the employment dispute, or each of the parties that is likely to be involved in the potential employment dispute, has consented to the IR Commission acting as mediator.
