11ZOD Persons required to comply with retail market rules
The following persons must comply with the relevant provisions of the retail market rules made as part of any approved retail market scheme for a distribution system —
a person (a gas transmission operator) who operates a pipeline that is used to transport gas into that distribution system for supply to customers of retail gas operators;
any other person (a prescribed person) who —
is prescribed; or
belongs to a class of persons that is prescribed,
for the purposes of this paragraph.
Without limiting section 43(7) of the Interpretation Act 1984, regulations made for the purposes of subsection (1)(b) may —
prescribe a person in terms that retail market rules apply to the person; or
prescribe a class of persons in terms that retail market rules apply to persons belonging to the class,
subject to any specified exception or limitation.
This section has effect subject to any exemption granted under section 11ZOS.
