39 Disclosure etc. of information obtained in course of duty restricted
This section applies to a person who is or has been —
a member of staff; or
a member of an advisory committee established under section 24(1).
A person to whom this section applies must not, directly or indirectly, record, disclose, or make use of any information obtained in the course of duty except —
for the purpose of performing functions under the emergency services Acts; or
as required or allowed by this Act or under another written law; or
with the written consent of the person to whom the information relates; or
Penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 12 months.
