336 Hearsay evidence in review proceedings
In this section —
representation includes an express or implied representation, whether oral or in writing, and a representation inferred from conduct.
In proceedings before the Tribunal for the review of a decision, evidence given by a police officer of a representation about a matter that is relevant to the proceedings is admissible as evidence, despite the rule against hearsay.
The Tribunal may give such weight as it thinks fit to evidence admitted under subsection (2).
This section applies despite any rules of evidence, or any practices or procedures applicable to courts of record, adopted by the Tribunal or applied by regulations or rules under the SAT Act, as referred to in the SAT Act section 32.
