Health Services Act 2016

The change of name of a health service provider by order under section 195(a) does not operate —

to create a new legal entity; or

to prejudice or affect the identity of the body corporate constituted as a health service provider or its continuity as a health service provider; or

to affect the property, or the rights or obligations, of the health service provider; or

to render defective any legal proceedings by or against the health service provider.

Any legal proceedings that could have been continued or commenced by or against the health service provider by its former name may be continued or commenced by or against it by its new name.
