The Council has all the powers it needs to perform its functions.

Without limiting subsection (1), the Council may for the purpose of performing a function —

acquire, hold, manage and dispose of real and personal property; and

grant a lease or licence in respect of property that is owned by the Council; and

carry out, or cause to be carried out, the conservation and development of a place; and

enter into arrangements for sponsorship; and

use its expertise and resources to provide consultancy, management, advisory or other services for profit or otherwise.

The Council may, in accordance with the regulations —

impose and recover fees and charges in connection with the performance of its functions; and

recover prescribed costs and expenses arising from the performance of its functions.
