20 Public authorities must assist Council
A public authority must, and by this section is authorised to, give the Council prescribed assistance in carrying out the functions of the Council if it is reasonably practicable for the public authority to give the assistance.
A public authority must comply with any reasonable request for information made by the Council.
Nothing in subsection (1) or (2) exempts the Council from the payment of fees or charges payable under any Act.
If the Council is of the opinion that a public authority has not complied with subsection (1) or (2) the Council may request the Minister to notify in writing the Minister responsible for the administration of the public authority.
A Minister notified under subsection (4) may direct the public authority to provide the assistance or information to the Council.
A direction under subsection (5) may require the public authority to make the services of any person employed or engaged by the public authority available to provide the assistance or information.
