624 Investigation into acts against discipline
Where an allegation is made that a member has committed an offence against the discipline of the Force the officer designated by the Commissioner for that purpose or the officer in charge of the region or branch in which the member is stationed shall cause an investigation to be made by a commissioned officer or non‑commissioned officer (in subregulation (2) called the investigating officer) into the allegation.
Upon completion of the investigation the investigating officer shall make a report to the officer by whom the investigating officer was appointed to make the investigation.
A charge relating to an offence against the discipline of the Force shall not be brought except by a member who is authorised by the Commissioner for that purpose, either generally or for the particular case.
