This Act applies to and in relation to —
radioactive substances; and
irradiating apparatus; and
electronic products which are prescribed by regulation as being subject to the provisions of this Act,
unless an exemption is granted.
No exemption shall be granted unless the Council is satisfied that it is in the general interest of the public so to do, and that no danger to the life or health of any person will be thereby occasioned.
An exemption may be granted either in general terms by regulation, or in any particular case by the Council in writing, and may be made subject to the exercise of a discretionary authority.
An exemption may be limited to the provisions therein specified, or as to fees or other moneys that would otherwise be payable.
