60A When fine may be suspended
(1)
A court that sentences an offender to a fine may order that the fine be suspended for a period set by the court that is not to be more than 24 months.
(2)
A suspended fine is not to be imposed unless a fine equal to that suspended would, if it were not possible to suspend the fine, be appropriate in all the circumstances.
