247 Percentage prescribed (Act s. 20(3))
The prescribed percentage for the purposes of section 20(3) of the Act is 5%.
248. Board direction under Act s. 26(2), restriction on etc.
(1)
The Board must not give a direction under section 26(2) of the Act for an Employer to deduct more than $20 a fortnight from a Member’s pay unless the Member agrees.
(2)
If a Member who owes money to the Fund notifies the Board that he or she cannot reasonably afford to repay the money at the rate of $20 a fortnight, the Board is to negotiate with the Member with a view to arranging for the Member to repay the money at a lesser rate or in some other manner.
