40 Restriction on contact with other people
Except as provided by section 41, 42, 43, 43A or 45, the detainee —
is not entitled to contact another person; and
may be prevented from contacting another person.
Note for this subsection:
This subsection will not apply to the person if the person is released from detention under the order (even though the order may still be in force in relation to the person).
Subsection (1) does not apply to contact with a person performing functions in connection with the detainee’s detention under the PDO.
Sections 41, 43, 43A and 45 have effect subject to any prohibited contact order made in relation to the detainee’s detention.
